| River and Rock Adventures offers a springtime raft guide school for boaters interested in becoming commercial rafting guides, as well as summertime raft guide training for the recreational boater who wants to learn how to take the family down the river. Commercial Raft Guide School We will begin at 8AM on April 22nd in camp for 2 days on the South Fork American. We will leave camp at 7AM on Friday the 28th and head to the trinity river for a day trip. After the Trinity, we'll drive to the Upper Sacramento River for more raft guide training. We will finish off the second weekend of raft guide school with a Sunday trip on the Truckee river in Reno. We will conclude river guide school with 2 more days on the South Fork beginning at 8AM on May 6th in camp. Guinea Pig trips to gain experience can be run with a commercial rafting trip throughout the spring and summertime. The price for each guinea pig is $25 per person, with a minimum of 4 people. All commercial rafting guides will be required to run 3 guinea pig trips and an evaluation run with an experienced rafting guide prior to running a commercial trip with River and Rock Adventures.
