Our American River Camp Location

Located just outside of Coloma, in the heart of California's gold rush territory, our campsite at the American River Resort combines a rustic outdoor setting with the comforts of a well kept outdoor camping resort.

The American River Resort has full bathroom and shower facilities, a regularly stocked fishing pool, full banquet facilities and a swimming pool. The setting can't get any better, located on the upper South Fork of the American River only minutes from Marshall Gold Discovery Park. The class III white water rapid, Troublemaker, can be viewed from the resort campsite. Campers can watch adventurers like themselves brave the thunderous whitewater rapid in boats and kayaks.
And the resort offers premium cabin rentals right by the water for those adventurors looking for more luxurious accomodations. Contact the resort staff directly learn more about all the resort has to offer.

River and Rock Adventures offers 1 free night of camping in our American River campsite for any person for every day spent white water rafting, to be enjoyed either directly before or directly after the trip. Guests in our camp can enjoy a tree-shaded camping area with picnic tables and a fire pit for night time campfires under the stars. Add the breakfast or dinner to your stay and delicious meals will be prepared by our multi-talented white water rafting guides right in camp. Spend a night with us and enjoy fine meals from our outdoor kitchen and fantastic stories from our staff around a hot campfire. Many guests in our camp often enjoy themselves so much, they choose to pay for additional stay, which we welcome. For our guests that would rather sleep in a nice bed...ask us about the several local Bed and Breakfasts.
