| River and Rock Adventure has donated a trip for 6 boaters for the upcoming 2006 season to the Salvation Army in Reno, Nevada, for a silent auction held on Thursday, November 17th, 2005. The proceeds of the auction are used to house the members of the new Adult Rehabilitation Program. River and Rock Adventures is proud to assist in this auction to help people get their lives back on track. | |||||

Donating to help HIV patients

| On October 8th, 2005, Northern Nevada H.O.P.E.S (HIV Outpatient and Education Services) sponsored a Black and White Ball at Harrah's Reno to raise money for HIV patient care in the Reno/Sparks/Northern Nevada area. River and Rock Adventures is proud to have taken part in this event, donating a trip for 6 boaters on the river for the upcoming 2006 season. Northern Nevada H.O.P.E.S. was established in 1997 as a non-profit, specialty clinic and provides outpatient medical care, education, support services, and a variety of client “healthy living” programs for HIV positive individuals in northern Nevada and eastern California. River and Rock gladly donates some of our time to this group in an effort to help raise the quality of life for patients diagnosed with this terrible disease. With the efforts of groups like this, hopefully awareness will be raised so that patients suffering from HIV will seek out the care they need and deserve. | |||||
